Forgiveness is a very important aspect when you are on your spiritual path. It is forgiveness of self and others that brings in more light and joy into your being. Forgiveness releases old energies that are no longer serving your best and highest good.
When we truly learn to forgive we become more compassionate, loving, and understanding of ourselves and others. We are able to step back in any situation and see it from a different point of view by forgiving ourselves and all those that were a part of any situation.
We come to earth as spiritual beings taking on the physical body and we forget that we are still spirit. We are a loving perfected being. We live in an intense, dense world filled with many different energies and we forget who we are. Part of the lesson that we are here to learn is to remember who we are and by doing so we realize that we are here for a short period of time wanting to shine our light, learn our lessons and walk on our divine path with compassion and grace.
When we learn to forgive ourselves and others we begin to realize that each person that we forgave was a part of the bigger picture, and one who stepped forward volunteering before our birth in order to help us learn a particular lesson this life time. After awakening to this truth, we see the situation with ‘new eyes’ and awareness. We are able to feel gratitude for the opportunity and the lessons learned. We are able to forgive all who were involved.
One thing that a lot of people forget is to forgive themselves. The most important aspect of forgiveness is to forgive ourselves. When we don’t forgive ourselves, we are still holding ourselves hostage or accountable for that situation, looking upon ourselves with blame or shame and carrying guilt. We are all here to learn. When seeing the situation as an ‘opportunity’ to grow, we can allow ourselves our own true forgiveness and have gratitude for the experience. At this point we are creating more space in the body for love and light.
We also begin to see ourselves as the victor and not the victim any longer. One who came, experienced, learned and forgave. That is why we are all here. That is why we came. Start looking at your past with forgiveness for each situation that you still carry anger or resentment for and forgiving all those who were involved. You will feel more heart centered and able to come from a place of love, grace and compassion toward yourself and all others.
What a joyous opportunity we all have here on earth. This place of learning, forgiveness, compassion and love. Take time to forgive all situations at the end of each day. You will find yourself feeling lighter and uplifted allowing space for more gratitude which will bring more peace to your soul.
